Strong and Calm Tradies

Supporting you to move beyond the emotion-driven reactions to stress that cause pain and damage in lives and relationships

Being Strong and Calm gives everyone the best possibility of a positive result in every area of their life, including work and study, finances, family, relationships and health.

The program works at many levels to help you understand the origins of your emotions and reactions, and learn to emotionally regulate yourself. You can then identify the things you value, and practice and apply your calming skills to real-world situations you’re facing - with the support of facilitators and peers right there in your group.

Strong and Calm enables clearer thinking, better decision-making and clearer, more purposeful direction in your life.

  • Register for Strong & Calm for Tradies; a highly-effective personal development program, that gives men and women working in the Building Industry the understanding and real-life skills we all need to become better people and live more fulfilling lives:

  • Teaches you how to recognise and dissolve strong emotions, using mindfulness, meditation, breathing, EFT and somatic techniques.

  • Educates how we automatically trigger our fight, flight, or freeze survival reaction in situations where we feel threatened.

  • With new skills and understanding, you can make clear, effective decisions, that move you forward.

  • Learn how and when to practice the techniques you will learn, to improve tolerance to challenging emotions and strengthen your relationships.

  • Supports you to re-work your thinking, in terms of your life story, your personal values, and your ability to see situations with new perspectives.

  • The Next Strong and Calm group programs begin on 4th February (Bathurst) and 5th February (Zoom) 2025. Individual, private programs are available now. See the Registration page for more details.

Lachlan Mitchell’s professional experience includes 20 years as a Psychiatric Nurse, specialising in substance abuse, depression and anxiety, family therapy and general counselling.

This was followed by 30 years as a Parole Officer, helping thousands of inmates and parolees overcome years of substance abuse, childhood trauma, anger and violence and mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.

Lachlan has found a way to help anyone stop their feelings of anxiety or anger in less than 60 minutes and created a program around that, teaching others how to do that for themselves.

Lachlan’s knowledge and experience has been combined with David’s, to create the Strong and Calm Program, which is helping men and women learn how to control their anxiety and anger and change negative beliefs about money and relationships, in just 10 sessions.
